Behind the Scenes

Ok so our youngest son Will (2) was up all night throwing up. I have a strict policy that they cannot have milk or anything that would be hard on their stomachs for at least 24 hours after throwing up. Bryan was nice enough to get up with him at 4 this morning because I had been up with him all night.  He had not thrown up since 10 last night so I assumed that part of it was over. Well he was able to keep some water down this morning so Bry gave him MILK!!  Of course he threw up almost instantly.  So help me out...am I right by being overly cautious or is Bryan right to give him whatever he wants? As you know Y100 just had the St. Jude Radiothon where they dedicate 2 days to raise money for St. Jude's Childrens Research hospital. In an effort to raise money he challenged you, the listeners to basically raise $14,400 in one hour and said that if they did, he would shave his head. Well you did!! And he did. I am so proud of him for doing it, although I am not a fan of the haircut AT ALL. When I asked him why he would do that he said "Because if it was one of our kids, I would want everyone to do whatever they could to raise money, so how could I not?" Can't argue with that. I love that man. Great job on raising over $235,000 for St. Judes!!

 Baby Will has to have his blanket for bedtime!!  The kid just loves it.  It is the cutest thing because he walks around dragging it behind him like Linus from Charlie Brown.  It makes me sad to think that someday he won't care because he will be such a big boy.  What do/did your kids have that was important to them?  Comment below or email me at nicciscott@new.rr.com.

Big news in the Scott house!! Emma lost another tooth today! That makes a total of 4!!  I wonder how much the tooth fairy will bring for this one?

We found out a few days ago that Bryans brother Matt has two teeth that have fused together causing it to be just one big tooth. We were talking about it the other day, which is why I am telling this story. Bryan was actually visibly upset that he didn't know this ealier in life. I said "Bryan I am sure that if it was hard for him, if people were making fun of him or something that you would have known" Thinking that he felt bad that his brother had gone through being teased without telling Bryan. NOPE! Bryans response was "Thats not why Im upset...Im upset because I would have made fun of him for it!! That would have been good ammo!!" Boys...

I am sick of the snow and cold and so ready to see green grass again!!!

Bryan left for Memphis today to visit St. Judes Childrens research hospital!! He hasn't been gone that long but I miss him already!!  This is always quite the trip for him, he gets to go to Memphis, meet lots of artists, and have some fun with co-workers. But at the same time seeing the kids in the actual hospital is always hard for him (as you can imagine).  So while I am missing him he is on an emotional rollercoaster! I can't wait for him to get home!

I decided to get my hair done on Sunday during the Packer game (don't worry I was home in time for all the drama at the end) When I came home I was a little unsure about it...you know she cut a little more off than I would have liked but it was ok it wasn't "can't go out in public" bad it was just shorter than I wanted. Until today. Now I am trying to do it myself and I CANNOT do it!! Seriously!! Do hair stylists have magic fairy dust that they use to style hair?? I am never able to do (even in several hours) what they manage to do in only moments. It is extremely frustrating!

Can someone please tell me what the purpose of late start at school is?  For those who are not parents or maybe live in a district that doesn't have this...on Monday for example Emma started school at 11 as opposed to her usual 8. All this does is throw off our routine for the day...I really see no other purpose! It bothers me, and I don't like it. So if someone knows why, feel free to either comment below or email me at nicciscott@new.rr.com to explain it to me so I can understand. Thanks!

How are you all doing with your resolutions??  Usually by this time we have both failed miserably.  This year, we have both kept to them!  I am very proud of Bryan for keeping with his, which was to live a healthier lifestyle (eating better, etc.) and to be better with money (we are both spenders and not so much savers).  Mine was to keep my 365 pictures for 2010 blog, in which I take a photo a day for the whole year, to be better with money, and also to live a healthier lifestyle.  What were some of your resolutions?  Are you doing a good job keeping them?

I do all my "computing" on a laptop from our living room. One of the first days that I had this laptop (which has been about 2 years) I found that there is a switch on the front so you can safely work offline. Every once and a while, I accidentally switch this button, and it usually takes me at least an hour to figure out why I can't get online. Well, today it took the entire day, several hours on the phone with Time Warner Cable trying to figure out with the problem was, restarting computers, trying Bryans laptop, checking the phone and cable to make sure it wasn't a MAJOR issue...  About 5 minutes ago I looked at that button, and it was in offline mode. I think this may be the dumbest I have ever felt.
