Behind the Scenes

Emma and I are going camping for the weekend, leaving Bryan home with the 2 boys to fend for themselves. This could be intersting. I expect that I will come home to a very messy house and some hungry kids. :) Don't get me wrong, I love Bryan, but when it comes to things like this, it could easily go either way. So pray for me, and that I will not have to spend the next week cleaning up after 3 very messy boys. And pray for no rain! I have not been camping since I was about 10 years old, and Emma has never been so we are both pretty excited!!

We have lived here for about 2 years, and I have not been able to find a hair stylist that I liked that didn't cost a million dollars. Until today. I found an affordable person who COMES TO OUR HOUSE!!! I am so excited!! I look like I just walked out of the Trailerhood. So, if you see me tomorrow at Montgomery Gentry I will be pretty once again!!  If you don't have your tickets yet you better get some! It will be worth it just to see me....right?!

Bryan has been at The Manly Man conference all weekend, and dj'ing a wedding tonight so I have been "single" momming all weekend. Got the house cleaned today and Emma had some friends over. Its so fun to see her with friends and know that she is such a sweet little girl even when I am not reminding her.  Hoping to get some photo shoots in tomorrow afer church, so lets hope it doesn't rain!  Emma has her birthday party with her kids coming up, so a while ago when I mentioned about Bryan cleaning the garage? Well, he is going to have to get it done before her party! So we shall see!

Emma and Jack got to go see Dr Pete at Northstar Dental today!!! No cavities for either one and they even peeked at Wills!!

We went to the store a few days ago to look for some patio furniture and what do we see but 5 rows of school supplies!! Already?!  They just got done with school like 3 weeks ago!  So, in the spirit of not waiting until the last minute to do stuff like I normally do, we went and bought all the school supplies for Emma and Jack for the fall. It seems really good to get that out of the way. NOW...here is where I need some help. I really want to put their names on their backpacks in some cute way like sewing their names on them or something. Do any of you do this that could share some ideas with me?

We started potty training the little dude! He finally pooped on the potty and this was the face he made when he smelled it...I know...just like his daddy.

7 years ago today we became a family! Our little firecracker Emma joined us at 8:12am on July 4th. It is hard to believe that 7 years ago we didn't know her..and now we are so proud of her and the kind of person she is becoming!

Well we named him Will and thought it was time he learned the song with his name in it. Enjoy!! Sorry for my singing...its him you are supposed to listen to. :)

This morning Jack and Emma went upstairs to get dressed. Emma asked me if she could wear a dress and I said sure. So then, Jack asked me if he could wear a dress too (I thought he was kidding.) So let this be a lesson to you all. Don't let your 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son get dressed together, cause you never know what will happen.

Sometimes I hate being a woman. Today is one of those days. Yesterday I spent my morning taking all of Wills 2T clothes out of his closet, and putting all the 3T clothes in. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to have anymore, its not really that I miss having a baby in the house or anything like that.  Its that I can't believe how fast they are growing!! Not only that, but I feel like an idiot because I have been so crabby lately from Bryan being gone at CUSA that I have been really looking forward to them being older and more self sufficiant.  I don't understand how half of my brain can be sad that its going so fast, while the other half of my brain says HURRY UP AND GROW!!! This must be why men say women don't make a lot of sense?

Bryan is gone at Country USA for the week, and from the pictures I have seen, he is clearly working really hard. Or not. :)  Anyway, I got bored sitting here with the kids everyday so I decided to go shopping. This is what I came home with...Bryan is NOT gonna be happy!! But the kids are so its worth it!
